Is this really a Yamaha engine?  The scooter it’s in is an early 2000’s T’NG  nothing to look at but it goes like a banshee |

You have the engine ID number off the bottom or back of the variator case. I don't think that Yamaha variator cover will fit the engines T'n'G was using or ever used. If Kickstart works I am almost certain it's a Yamaha but I know it's not a prebug or 2T vino cover
