Hey I'm new to two strokes and scooters. I have a vento I picked up and I cleaned the carb but still doing the same thing. While I hold my hand over carb and give gas it will fire and run roughly but will not idle. Idk what they did to it previously. I changed gas 50 to 1 no difference. Can anybody help

Holding your hand over the carb is cutting off some air, basically acting as a choke, so enrichening the mixture. Either you have an air (vacuum) leak or it's set up too lean. Check that the air screw is about one and a half turns from all the way in. Does it have the stock air cleaner?

Yes I have the stock airbox and it doesn't really change anything. Although on it is a vacuum hose but we're it goes I have no idea as I'm pretty sure it isn't stock
