Upon installing a new belt on my big bore buddy 68cc I got juddering upon acceleration. I took apart my cvt and clutch and tried about 10 diferent combinations of new and used variators ,new ond old clutches and belts, new and used p.g.o variator, new and used weights, dr pulley sliders.Tried new and used clutch packs, new contra springs. In the end the only thing that seemed off was the way the variator ramp plate slid into the variator. The new and used ramp plate of the stock P.G.O variator was not super smooth and it seems it was not holding the weights tight from the begining of travel at idle. I put in three chineese gy6 new plastic ramp plate guides to replace the stock ones on the ramp plate. The ramp plate would now drop in and move super freeley on my bench. There is no more judder upon acceleration and everything is smooth. I could not find any answers on the net about how to fix the issue, although there are threads where people have had the same thing happening. The juddering would go away at any high speed from 30-50 mph the bike was normal.
