I was poking around on craigslist as I typically do, and seen this. Its winter, a man needs a project right? I pick it up Saturday at noon. I have a couple extra cylinder kits and coil and a few other odds and ends that may be the trick to getting this thing going. The owner is not mechanically inclined but did say it wasn't locked up. topeka.craigslist.org/mcy/2791715864.htmlI'm sure I will be begging for advise in the next week...

That is the question, did it just not start? or die on the road. Which could be as simple as a drain screw falling out. Luck of the draw

Looks pretty clean. Seems like a decent deal to me. Could be something really simple, hopefully.

The owner says all the plastics are in perfect shape. All parts are intact except a buddy of his STOL the front brake pads off of it and left the caliper hanging which at least he left the screws fastened to it. Go figure? ??

Those are nice scoots. I owned one. Good deal on that. Pretty low miles too. I don't think someone was doing the right maintenance on it if it died that quickly.

Nice deal! I also hope it's an easy fix. I also hope it's not electrical. Ugh, that's my weakness. Electrical is the world's biggest PITA. Here's to hoping it's literally just a screw loose or a dead battery.

E-Tons have a pretty good rep.
If you get it maybe you can get your E-TON to do the HALF-TON (50 mph). ;D

My E-ton has been OK. Im still riding it in 20 degree weather. Cant remember, but I think I posted this here or on the Yahoo Eton site, but when mine mysteriously stopped running, it was just because the the 2 plugs on the CDI unit under the seat had corrision on them. Cleaned it off, instant fire-up ! The kill awitch plug was the offending one. Yellow looks really sharp !!

This will make Beamer #2 for me. I have a 2004 with only 400 miles on it. Great scoot so far. I have a 70 bbk that got a little scratched up on the cylinder walls when the piston keeper spring came off. I am taking fine sand paper and smoothing the bore. With any luck it should be ok. It only had 100 miles on it when it happened. I just need to find the rings online.
