I am thinking about ordering a set of main jets to fool around with the carb on my stock 1997 zuma. (everything in pretty decent shape, 800 miles + storage for the last ~27 years). I was looking to upjet, my plug looks to be running a bit lean. But the CW50 service guide says the main jet is already pretty big @ #93. Should I really consider going bigger than #93? For reference, I ride for fun in the CA foothills with some pretty decent curves and grades. So, trying to eek out as much performance as I can out it while keeping it 50cc.

I think my 02 BWS ran a 93 as stock also. Never had a problem with it till I upgraded the cylinder, and went with a bigger carb. If you are worried about it. Perhaps invest in a temperature gauge.

Thanks. I am not really worried about it, but was going to order some bigger jets and it seemed out of the ordinary to be going so big on a 50cc.
edit: especially if I decide to pickup an exhaust. That is the one piece of the scoot that appears to be worse for wear.

stock jetting works well as is trust Yamaha engineers once you add a pipe then you will need to change the jetting the more extreme the pipe the bigger the jetting
when I snowmobiles we actually went as lean as possible so she would just scream until we either won or holed a piston.
