Bought this bike in the 9th of october 2023 and it was in terrible shape (broken crank, blown cylinder, stuff rattling in the transmission and the plastics were broken and badly rattle canned) but at least it was cheap since i got it for 100 Euro, so i started by repairing the engine and then threw on some new plastics i had lying around as this is my 3rd Scarabeo but the first of em to have a Piaggio Hyper 2 engine instead of the very common Horizontal Minarelli
After i was done swapping parts and repairing the engine right on new years day the Crankshaft snapped on the variator side, i was so fed up that i decided to buy a new engine instead of buying a new crank, which was the best choice ever since the whole motor was only 50 Euro and i came with goodies such as an enlarged case for bigger cylinders, top performance TPR full circle Crank, Malossi Multivar 2000 and a brand new 50cc original cylinder kit
After all that now the scooter has:
an aircooled DR 70 EVO cylinder kit
Top TPR Full circle crankshaft Dell'orto 17,5 PHVA carb with 60 main jet and electric choke Stock air box with a malossi red sponge Malossi Multivar 2000 Variator Malossi Fly Clutch from a minarelli Leovince SP3 Exhaust
evrything else is stock and the top speed is around 60 MPH while fuel consumption and noise is very low , this is how it turned out.
AND NOW ZIP SP LIQUID COOLED SWAP 94CC RC ONE COMING SOON!

Nice job. That engine was a bit of a bargain. Here you would pay more than that for bare used cases. I wonder why the crank snapped? I love a Zip SP. It's going to be a bit of a handful with an RC-ONE swap.

I was going to say you might want to change the front tire… then i saw how you drive it… you don’t even need a front wheel
