Compression only gets up to 90. I’m gettin a clean blue spark from the plug. I replaced the cylinder head.
(Backstory) Won the scooter in a fantasy football league. It’s always been tough to start n the prior owner only kick starts instead of the electric start. Knowing nothing of scooters I let it sit for a year. I got it to start again but it would immediately stop when I hit the gas so i guess not. I left it alone for 2 more years and now I’m here.
Not sure if this is the correct battery because I have to have it hooked to a jump start just to get a crank.
Idk if I need to replace the Stator and/or Solenoid. *how the heck do yall upload pics on here?

How to post a picture. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/post/7984Is it a new battery? Under 12.6 volts is usually no good. I would definitely start by giving the carb a clean. These small scooter jets are easily blocked by old fuel.

To clarify, compression is checked with throttle wide open. 90 pounds on throttle closed is likely 120 pounds throttle open and plenty of power

Also, a battery, much like a car, can power everything and anything but only have enough juice to start the bike when it is full. Old batteries will run your lights and horn, but may not have enough amps to turn it over.

Yes when checking compression you need the throttle wide open.
