I guess I did it backwards so let me start off here.
I've had motorcycles my whole life I started off on 50cc pull start what was called a doodle bug with a friction rear brake no suspension while I should say your spine was the suspension. And from that I went to a Yamaha gt80 Yamaha RD 350 Suzuki rm125. Fast forward Honda CBR 1100 XX Blackbird Hayabusa that went through several turbo builds the last one made 420 horsepower. GSXR 1000 a lot of the victory bikes multiple Harleys KTM super motos 950 DRZ400 supermoto Yamaha 250 super moto I forget the number off the top of my head.. Aprilia dusseldoro 1200, there's been a lot of bikes I mean there's another 10 or 15 in there that I can't seem to I mean there's I've had Vespa GT 250s I've had Aprilia 150 mojitos, pcx125,150.. You get the idea if it's had two wheels on it my ass has been on the seat more than likely. All that being said I still enjoy a two-stroke scooter a 50cc there's something about being able to ride it on the street without needing insurance without needing a plate that's kind of cool. You're kind of default back to the idea it's the most fun you can have going slow it's like a Mazda Miata compared to supercharged Corvette the Miata is just a lot of fun it's just extremely slow. So that's kind of where the 50cc two-stroke scooter fits in. So I recently picked up a genuine rough House sport and it rode terrific it just sucked going up hills it was very slow and the speed would be diminished from what was indicated say 35 to 25 which means you're probably going 20 miles an hour and that's not safe. Every car on the road wants to push you into a ditch at that speed they want to pass you so I decided on picking up a 70cc kit. I purchased the ncy kit which has their 70cc cylinder piston has the ncy expansion chamber pipe 6 g rollers, they give you a 42 pilot jet and a little jet kit that has some I think 10 or 12 various jets in it and 95 main is what's recommended to use. Also a 1500 RPM Contra spring. I have to say that the build I cut my hands up so much working in those tight spaces that part is what sucked, the circlip I watched videos how to install them and kind of got The knack installing the first one was hard the second one obviously there's only two but that was relatively easy. The 1500 RPM Contra spring that was a sob. I couldn't figure out how to compress the clutch I have a strong grip a really strong grip and I couldn't get it to budge but a fraction so I couldn't get the belt on. Finally I saw a tip from a video where guy used two extension drives from a socket kit and when you push down it separates the clutch far enough that the belt can be put on so once I knew how to do it with that hack it became very easy. The problem that I'm experiencing now you can read about in the build section because I did all this work for absolutely nothing I've damaged the engine. So now I'm slept scratching my head do I just want to cut bait sell it take the loss do I want to tear it down and put it back to a 50cc and sell it because it's underpowered or do I want to pick up another top end kit put it on to try again..
