Hey! The Derbi still has problems. Now it's leaking gear oil. Oil seems to be leaking into the rear brake drum, and out onto the back wheel. Rear brake has completely lost power. Has anyone experienced this? I think it could be the little rubber bushing between the wheel and rear gearbox. How do you go about replacing this? Can you replace it by just taking off the rear wheel, or do you need to dig into the gearbox and do it from the inside? Piaggio motor AC. Cheers!

I usually use a center punch and put a hole through the seal and thread a self tapper into it and yank it out that way. Easy peasy.

Hello again. Can you describe more in detail? I have attached images of the thing thats leaking. (Red arrows). But the seal does not seem to be visible from the outside, as there is a bearing there. (6204D). Is the seal inside the little metal thingy (Green outline)?, and if so how could you pull it from the outside? Thanks, Elliot.

Oh jeez, that's completely different from my piaggio Derbi. Looks like you'll have to pull the gearbox cover off and get to it that way.
