My question is, on every spark plug you see that steel ring that's pressed on and when you thread that plug into the cylinder head that ring that washer whatever you want to call it prevents you from over tightening the plug or having it seize and stick into the head. When you install a cylinder head temperature gauge there's a copper ring that extends to the meter sensor, if you add this to the spark plug your pulling the electrode further away from the top of the piston for combustion purposes. So this long question is do you clip that ring on the spark plug to maintain the same height do you remove that ring that is on every spark plug so that when you install the spark plug over this temperature sensor the distance is the same? I've added a link to a picture so that you can see the copper sensor that attaches to the probe would go in between the cylinder head and the spark plug. ibb.co/vqhhcv1
