Hello everyone,
I drive a 2008 Kymco Super 8 50 frame with a 139qmb engine. It's been bored up to 47mm BBK, AT-A9 Cam, 22mm Aluminum Intake[think dirt pike], 20mm PZ Round Slide carb, roughly a 38-40 Pilot[one I have is numbered 17.5 cause I lost my size 15 , run a size 90 main jet with 10-hole Emulsion Tube, 69mm Valves, and a 1" exhuast, custom exhaust. It was a Triangle 3 Bolt Mount to a Round 8 Bolt Muffler, but I made it work.
Anyways, I seem to be struggling to figure out my CVT Tune, and I think I'm going backwards.I read on another forum that for the 72cc/47mm kit, I shouldn't run anything heavier than 6.5, but, and I could be wrong due to lack of Tach rn, but It would seem that my scooter just isn't powerful enough, or maybe I'm forcing the CVT to shift immediately into final gear on takeoff, cause rn I'm running ~9g weights, which I love the deep sound and chug, but it's a bit sluggish.

A quick thought is your weights are too heavy. Replace half with lower weight rollers, alternating in sets of 3, and note the result. Or just replace the 9's with 6's and see what it does. I repaired a toasted BBK in a Taotao with low mileage, leaving the CVT totally unchanged. The 'master mech' decided that shrouds were not needed and... so I got it cheap. The CVT seemed perfectly matched to a 47mm piston/cylinder. A super 8 is (I have a 2T super 9) not a light machine. Could be wrong, but it seems the plastics are kind of heavy on Kymco bikes. Any way, lower the weights and it will likely regain some of the performance available if you can allow the crank rpms to exceed 5k... Lugging is not good for any piston engine, AFAIK. tom
