Tomorrow going to look at a yamaha c3, 50cc 2008. Don't know much about it, besides fuel injection. Any idea about what to look for ?? Besides normal scooter stuff, Any thing known to be a problem area specific to the c3 ??

Wouldn't expect something wrong considering that it's a Yamaha, I've done some very light research and it doesn't seem to have any issue besides top speed. I don't think you will have any issue despite it's age, parts are easy to find and you can make it run a while just with regular maintenance. Can't go wrong with a Yamaha, right?

It's an old scooter, so check all the usual stuff that wears out. Tires, brakes, suspension. Play in the steering, and everything electrical works, and general condition. A lot of older scooters can have wear in the centre stand pivot. A few people have done projects in them.

The Yamaha C3 is absolutely bulletproof. The only known issue was the fuel pump failing sometimes and the only replacement part was $200+. But now there are several aftermarket pumps for $25-$40, so it's a cheap easy problem to fix.
It is shim over bucket valves, so not as easy as screw adjustment. But that motor will go a long way between valve adjustments.

I've had five Yamaha c3 scooters over the years they're great scooters they're very comfortable they have a ton of storage under the seat. It will hold a 30 pack with ice I have first hand experience and tailgating with buddies and I was a beer guy. I will tell you that a lot of times they get a code on the dash a yellow light and it's from sitting at idling in an extended period. They have fuel injection obviously and they have a electric fuel pump that sometimes can go bad is the only real issue. If you let the scooter sit at idle for 5 minutes or so 10 minutes you can trigger this yellow light and I've used that to my advantage when I was buying the scooters as a point of negotiation. I'm like oh look at this there's something wrong 🤣 . And you get the typical responsible it's never done that before and I'm like well it's doing it now and I don't know what it is but it would have to go to the dealer and they're a hundred bucks an hour plus parts so I'm here to buy it and we need to come up with a number that works because I drove this whole way I got my trailer I got cash but this is not what I was expecting. And typically I'm able to get about 400 bucks off in prior experience with every scooter I've ever bought that's a Yamaha c3. They've got plenty of zip you cannot modify them just so that you understand so what they are is what they are. The seats incredibly comfortable there's a ton of leg room I mean it's a really really nice scooter and if you can get it $800 to $1,500 for a pristine no damage never dropped and less than say 2,000 miles it's a good deal.
