Not sure I'm doing this right. But here goes. I'm putting the front plastic piece back on. One photo shows the two lights. The second photo shows the electronics underside. There' s no bulb and no wire to the upper light. Does anyone know what the codes are for ordering the two items? TIA, kevino

OOps. The two wires are the right size to meet the socket. All that's missing is the bulb. THe photo has nothing to do with the front.

I can't see the wires you are talking about in the picture. I would be wary of fitting the light in the upper case. A lot of scooters have very weak charging systems. And it wouldn't take much to run the battery down. It looks like the top light has no fixture to mount a light bulb. Perhaps it wasn't designed to have one. Unless it's like a side light that has a bulb fixed into a grommet.

I know in the old air-cooled VWs the wires were color coded. Brown meant ground. You might need to enlarge the screen. Tomorrow I'll dive into the garage and look for the bulb.

I was looking at the carb picture. 🤦 A lot of scooters run the lights off the stator, it's AC powered. You could check if there is only power going to the wire when the bike is running with a multimeter.

Looks like blue & white for the headlight, and I suspect the brown/green is the same as the instrument cluster lighting. I think you could put a small bulb & socket in the opening and have a 'running light' that would be lit whenever the ignition is ON. Many headlights have a small bulb stuffed into the 'sided' of the headlight reflector which comes on when the ignition is ON. I would not expect it to provide light usable for driving at night, as I think it is much more of an "I am here, don't hit me" type light. If I were doing it, I would get a LED bulb & socket and wire that in. A LED will draw minimal current, and if the diodes are faced properly, can provide a good bit of light for little energy cost, perhaps leaving the charging system still able to keep things charged even with another bulb being lit. For that matter, to cut juice usage, one could replace all the cluster bulbs with LED versions... I would find the ones that would fit the sockets, and orde a 10-pack from aliexpress. The local stores and the two big onlines will cost likely 10X what you can get from ali if you are willing to wait. I replaced the bulbs in my truck instrument cluster, and finally can read the gauges after sunset. The original bulbs were too dark. tom

I found a bulb in the tool chest. When trying to attach the bulb to the socket I remembered trying to get the original bulb out and losing it on the floor. And I did the same thing this time. But this time I found it on the floor and it still seems to work. I hope it's the right bulb. It has a lot of power for such a small bulb; I got it in my eyes and now have problems seeing the words on the screen. The packet originally held two bulbs. I don't know where the packet came from. I found it in the drawer where I throw electrical stuff. I imagine my wife bought it for her lawn mower. That might explain why one bulb is gone.

The bulb only comes on when the engine is running.

So now you have more light. You can get LED bulbs of the style shown from aliexpress or other that might produce more light using less amperage. I have replaced the backup lights to get more visibility with success. There are multiple designs which produce different output patterns. I am in favor of any added light that might make me visible that one time when someone is not paying attention and pulls out directly in front of me. tom
