After my TaoTao 50 was stolen a couple of weeks ago, I ordered a new one on Amazon from SMART DEALS NOW, the shippping went perfectly, arrived at the time the freight carrier arranged, the first thing I noticed was the steel cage looked a lot better put together than I remember from two previous purchases. As I looked over the paperwork I didn't see TaoTao anything, yet it's basically identical, the plate and all says Jiangsu Zhongxing Motorcycle Co., Zxmco group Model ZXGS-50EI put it together, and swopped my pre rejetted new replacement carb with the factory installed one, put gas in and it started up fine very quiet! Starting and running a lot quieter than I ever remember, it had 00000.4 on the odometer, I just took it down the road and back as I have to get the DMV krap and plates yet, it had plenty of power and ran well, so I'm very happy with it, just the fact it's not a TaoTao as advertised was odd, I never heard of this other manufacturer but their web site says they started in 1991, almost wonder if they bought out TaoTao or something. The center stand I think I'm going to have to look at adjusting it, as it doesn't "lay back" as far as it should and it takes almost nothing for the bike to roll forward off it, there's a bent "stop" that might need to be ground down or otherwise modified so the legs stop at more of an angle, they are almost straight up and down. Anyway, here's a photo imgur.com/a/rrtDyBd

Start tracking down manufacturer's and distributor addresses and you will probably find that somewhere the locations match up to opposite sides of a warehouse or factory building. It is the Asian mob way of doing business. A door can be sealed up with a panel that looks as old as the rest of the wall in minutes. The outward signs of any business can completely disappear and re-appear as another somewhere else in a moment. It's magic and Amazon sellers are good at it.
A BFH will probably adjust that bent stop.

So many of these scooters are manufactured in different factories. With lots of different names. If you brought a container over they used to let you call them anything you wanted.I We had various different manufacturers all selling the same bike here under different names. Looked just like yours.

So many of these scooters are manufactured in different factories. With lots of different names. Yeah for sure, but the one issue is if you need parts, the TaoTao has a TaoTao company parts store, every time I ordered parts elsewhere that were claimed to fit like brake handles, body plastics, muffler, etc they never fit, I always wound u p going to the TaoTao's web store and those parts ALWAYS fit perfectly, but they had a $25 flat rate shipping charge, so if you order a $5 part it's $25 to ship it. My new bike seems to be conencted to "HHH" whose logo is on the hood. The Pulse of Performance: HHH Motorcycles & Scooters
Performance, design, and accessibility define HHH's product lineup, from the effortlessly cool Quantum150 to the adventurous TAO Motors TBR7. Each model is a paean to the freedom of the road, tailored for everyone from urban commuters to off-road explorers. It also unlike the TaoTao- has dual rear shocks instead of just the one. The HHH 49cc Gas Scooter ups the ante on ride quality with dual rear shocks, offering a stable and smooth journey ahead. Safety is its middle name, with the scooter boasting full LED lights for improved visibility on the road.

Dual rear shocks can make it ride like a lumber wagon.
The LED lights sound good.

I finally got the plates for it to-day, it was 91 degrees and my vans' a/c doesnt work, it was a 17 mile drive each way on my lunch hour to get it done. The dealer sent me the replacement MCO exactly as they stated they would. So now I rode it 18km, it has plenty of take off power, keeping it 25 mph max until broken in, it does have a little backfire when closed throttle decelerating, so I might need to swop out that 78 jet with an 80, but I'll check the mixture and that there's no vacuum leaks around the carb first. It rides smooth, it's very quiet

A backfire can also be caused by an air leak in the exhaust system.
