It's normal for the headlight to be dim on idle. It's probably an AC system and will only work efficiently at higher RPM. If the idle is very low, you could increase it a bit. Is the starter relay clicking? Have you power in and out of it?

These engines have no starter they send the power to the stator to turn and start the engine. I don't fully understand it but your problem is that magical thing it does doesn't work any more. A met or Ruck person should be able to help you.

no, nothing clicking but if i boost it with a booster pack it starts right up with no issue. Hold on. You have multiple threads going on and causing confusion You started out saying that it would kick start but no electric. Now it will electric start when jumped? That sounds like symptoms of a dead battery. Trouble shoot for a dead battery

DAMN!!! Lost my post due to a computer malfunction. Use SLA batteries with F2 connectors (0.250") Beats the hell out of bolting on wires. No corrosion problems either. Use 0.250" female connectors with a 0.250" male tab on them like: www.amazon.com/REDGOOSE-Semi-Insulated-Connectors-Disconnect-Assortment/dp/B0BRH7DJ7WThey can also be found at auto supply stores for $$$.
Use a high quality crimper, don't try to crimp wire connections with pliers or dykes. OR those cheapo crimpers that come with crimp terminal assortments.
