Hi I am new here my grandson just bought a Lexmoto and it will not go over 24 miles an hour any ideas?

Normal things to consider:
tire pressure too low
air cleaner clogged
excessive weight
misfire
high oil level can cause foaming
low oil level can lead to complete failure by excessive friction
binding bearings on the axles
sticking mal-adjusted brakes
off the top of my head.

What model is it? How old is it?
Some are only designed to do 28mph. And struggle to do that. If it's brand new, the engine might be tight still.
