Hi, should a stator have continuity through it when testing the output leads? The one I have has a yellow wire and Red wire coming out into a block and a blue/white wire to a bullet connector, if i test across the yellow and red wire I get a buzz for continuity. Does this seem right?

Wire colors can't be trusted for info, -they vary. If you have two lighting wires they should show continuity. and probably to ground also depending on the stator. If you have an AC CDI the power coil will show continuity to ground. The ignition trigger coil will also show continuity to ground. That continuity to ground between coils will shite up all continuity tests. A bad engine ground will mess up the entire electrical system.

I see on one post you had changed the stator. I did that on my Lexmoto and couldn't work out why no start. I had put to longer bolts in on the fan attached to the rotor and they shaved a bit of the coils inside. Plus they were only about 3mm longer than original, might be worth a check.
