Hello everyone, I'm building a vento triton r4, currently running a taida 70cc bbk with a yasuni r, mhr clone variator, stage 6 mk2 clutch and stage 6 wing cooler bell. Recently my drive shaft gear "stripped" out and the large gear on the shaft the connects to the rear tire was just spinning on the shaft. I pulled the gear off with a 3 jaw puller and cleaned and jb welded it back on. It has held up for now. Not wanting to run like that for long I ordered the stage6 kit that Brent used in his vento build and it is listed online to work with vento but it will not install with the stock primary shaft. The stage6 primary gear is just barely bigger than stock and just won't fit. So I am looking for either advice as to what I may be doing wrong when installing these gears, or if anyone has an extra or a link to buy the same primary gear from a Eton beamer like Brent used, that would be greatly appreciated.

Well the gear broke loose from the jb weld, no big surprise there. I will run the s6 drive shaft with stock intermediate and primary until I can get it figured out. I may just break and get the malossi primary 3rd support kit. I think with that kit I will have to get a press or a new, better 3 arm puller because the primary is straight cut and I stripped the threads trying to pull the intermediate shaft apart.

The primary shaft that I use is E-Ton part # 750152. I looked at Get 2 It and Alpha (2 dealers that I've used) and neither have it now. Alpha's site says no longer available. That sucks because that and the additional bearing support that it allows combined with the S6 secondaries makes a more stable gearbox that has held up much better for me than the standard stuff. The parts drying up is depressing to me, and part of why I'm planning another RC-1 for my other Triton. For Chinese scoots at least, it's looking like it may be easier to go full aftermarket if you wanna keep it around. Either that or start buying parts scoots. Stuff is still out there, but finding exactly what I need has been harder and harder. If you can find a shaft from a different scoot with 13/52 primary gearing (with or without the nub for the extra support) that may work. youtu.be/UXc93_RUTJ0?si=poJWMFx9y8fyjHQr

. Thank you, I have been learning a lot from the old posts, actually how I learned about using the 3 jaw puller.

I need to practice making the gear box gasket. You make it look easy. I'm having a hard time finding one when ordering the gasket online. I keep getting sent the one for the gear box that is accessed through the cvt cover. Luckily the one that's on the vento now is holding up to the repeated removal and assembly. I have ordered a gasket from Racing planet, we'll see if the right one shows up. So I bought this www.harborfreight.com/5-ton-three-jaw-hydraulic-gear-puller-64983.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=21905696053&campaignid=21905696053&utm_content=169026379383&adsetid=169026379383&product=64983&store=633&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA3Na5BhAZEiwAzrfagIWx9OQXUXrnH36Iyyz4I7bmVf8wAAYHk8pxW-q14i4zU4fBMtEZ6BoCYysQAvD_BwE and was able to pull the OEM primary gear off and swap it onto the s6 secondary or intermediate shaft I believe is the correct term. So now I can ride but with the current set up, if I did the calculations right I'm at 8.57 gear ratio which is super low or high, I'm not sure which it is but I know I want around 11.1, I'm right at 300lb so I base my set up basically exactly like yours. I also ordered gears from Racing planet which should put me right at 11.0 if everything fits properly with the stock primary shaft. I will lose the s6 secondary kit but I'm always looking for another vento for parts or to build so I'll keep them as spares. I went for a ride earlier, super short because it's getting chilly here but everything went good, a little slow on take off so I will have to do some tuning but overall good. Yes the ventos are getting hard to come by. There's a few down here in GA but they're pretty scarce. I want to copy the rc one build but it's just way too out of my build price range right now. I am planning on getting a bug eye since they look pretty good IMO and parts are easy to find and readily available but I'll get a burgman 600 first. Hopefully the racing planet order shows up pretty soon. I'll keep you guys posted.
