@ stepthru: Thanks bro. I'm hoping all will be reasonably well with the GPS. It's not something that I need need need, but I've discovered just how much safer and easier having a GPS can be than looking at a piece of paper with written instructions. If there is a problem with it though, I'll be SOOL because I won't be in FL until May. It's the price I pay for finding a deal. Bummer.
@ Brent: How does your mount hold up? I too would like to know how it holds up in the rain.
@ Goosey: My GF has a Magelan too and I actually found it to be pretty intuitive to use. It sometimes doesn't figure out where the car is particularly if it's turned on while on the go, though. That's the only major fault I have found with it. I would have kept it in the family and bought a Magelan tool, but the text-to-speech function of TomToms was attractive to me, along with their prices.

The mounts (I have 2) have held up well for me. I don' think I've rode in heavy rain. If I did I'd prob take the GPS out just to be on the safe side.

The Magelan was a refurb too. If it gets wrecked I'm not out too much. The Tom Tom's had better reviews. I did get the 12v adaptor in, not too difficult. Of course the wires weren't long enough. Wire and wire connectors....used it to run the air pump, very glad I did it just for that.

Oh yeah...I plan to get an air pump as well and also a battery charger...But in due time. I think the first thing I need to do is to get a can or two of that RideOn stuff that laurie told us about. I have time to get that though. No rush.

<sigh> I swear that if I didn't know better I would say I'm Irish. At least...I would have the Luck of the Irish...or lack thereof. Here I am, a month away from buying my motorcycle and they have none left in stock. So, once again I am in the market for a bike. I know I had said that I had two others as backups but now that I am faced with them as backups, I'm hesitant. I'm gonna be digging around for some good prices. You guys can stay tuned. Oh...for the record, my GF tok delivery of the GPS, the GPS case, and the battery tender connector. The cigeratte lighter socket is left to be delivered.
