Interesting. Would be nice if it works, just dunno if I believe it really works. I don't know enough about electronics (almost nothing) to know if there's any merit to the idea.

Good to know. I would be more interested in powering other things than lights. I think LEDS are the future and if i need more headlight i will go that route. Even adding a LED tail bulb and turns will lighten the load some 32-137 watts on mine.

SOLD: I'll take a pound of whatever it is that they are smoking! Current is made in the windings of your stator, all a rectifier/regulator does is: convert AC to DC and cap charging voltage (so that you don't fry your 12V battery/lights) by bleeding off the excess voltage as heat energy (notice the fins on the aluminum case).
