I have a 08 Lance Venice I came home and noticed it was missing today. First thing I did was walk around the block and what do you know...it was less than 2 blocks away. The front panel and headlight was all ripped out and the wires to the ignition were ripped out as well. I dont know what saved the scooter the kick start I took out or the fact that they were clueless. From the looks of the wires they didnt even use a stripper looks like they just ripped it out and used a knife. Now I gotta find a new ignition because the wires were ripped from the base.

I can think of a few things we can rip from them. *grab ye pitchforks!*
Scooter thieves are true scum. Glad you recovered it!

Yeh if you have a chinese scooter, for security youre best taking the kickstart off and store it under the seat in case you need it. (With a spanner to refit it) These peds are waay to easy to steal.

I had some punks steal my scooter right out my driveway once. They made it just a few miles down the road before I caught up to them. Never seen guys run so fast from a girl before. LOL Here's a link to the whole story: "...and I chased them in my Parkour hoodie."After that, I decided I needed to install a security system. This is the one I went with (<--link).

Nice work on the chase LJ. I woulda ran 100ft and proclaimed, while gasping for breath, that there's nothing I can do. Is there a follow up story to that? Did you get your keys back and did anything ever happen to the little &%$@ers? EDIT : I just discovered the "newer" button to try and answer my own questions. lol A bit of a follow up here for anyone else interested. Didn't see any more details. rjt-wdoa.xanga.com/699579797/follow-up-to-the-stolen-scooter-saga/

Yeah, that was the end of that. I had a spare key, and just make sure I used a disc lock and changed it to something stationary everywhere I went. I do remember seeing them once after I had my Ninja 250. I recognized them walking down the road. I revved my engine angrily and glared, but I highly doubt they knew who I was. LOL

They probably said to each other, " I don't think we stole any Ninjas, did we?"

It really suck they tried to steal your ride. I always chain my scoot up, and i live in a low crime area. Some scum tried to steal my mx bike from the shed at my house once, but i was lucky as i was changing the chain and sprockets so the wheel was off and no chain. I think they were too lazy to carry it lol.
