Now it will try to start like the battery is fine but it wont turn over to i took out the carb and cleaned it and it still wont turn over do you guys think this may be a spark plug issue?? please help i need this done in 2 days because its my only transportation to work.

:welcome: to the forum.
My first thought is, are you sure whatever you modified was a restrictor? Do you have any, or can you take any, pics of what you did? I thought most of the Etons were restricted via CDI. I've never personally seen a restrictor in the carb of any of the minarelli style 2Ts.

Two people on this forum have found the CDI unit plugs get corroded and stop working regularly. First, check your kill switch position, then pull the seat tub and spray some contact cleaner or something on the CDI plugs (remove them first), and re-plug.
I need to do this regularly with mine.
Good luck !

You seem to be describing the throttle cable splitter , a strictly mechanical device which has nothing to do with the engine starting if the idle is correctly set for the slide valve. Most likely you knocked a wire off somewhere or your side stand switch (if so equipped) or kill switch is not operating correctly.
Much confusion is created by the varying terminology people use to describe the engine starting processes.
To me cranking or turning over describes the act of causing the crankshaft to turn, either electrically or by foot.
Firing or hitting describes the ignition of the compressed fuel/air mixture at least one time to produce an audible pop or series of pops.
Cranking up describes the engine commencing to run in a continuous mode. Starting is the common term for this.
Does your carburetor not have a nut and threaded sleeve at the top of the carburetor where the cable enters? This is commonly where the operation you performed is done.

Whats a "throttle box"? We need some pics and more details please. Is it a 1E40QMB engine? The code is on the CVT side near the rear tire. At least mine is.

yes its the 1E40QMB engine and no i didnt fill the crankshaft with oil i took apart the carb and cleaned it out and i havent filled my crankshaft with oil and theres that box right by the throttle that has the starter button and theres a plastic part that hits another which makes it stop at full throttle but if you shave around one millimeter then you get that much more throttle but im thinking its the spark plug

You'd need to start by checking for spark if you think it's a plug issue. While the plug is out, see if it's wet or dry or black or clean etc...
