Well.....ok.... I run a '97 here.
If I was going to buy a crankshaft it would be a stroker from Athena. I have some bits and pieces, or don't mind making a call, if that helps you out at all?

well if the vertical athena stroker crank is like the horizontal one you dont have to machine the case for it to work
if i went with the matchin kit for the athena crank i wouldnt have to do any machine work on my case

next the BBK, Carby, Reeds and Pipe. This is where it can get expensive, and where you can really mess up. Before you spend any money, define (in your own mind), where you wish to end up. There is a threshold here, between parts a little better than stock, and parts a LOT better, with nothing to be gained by mixing the two. Oh!, and if you do manage to get any power out of it, plan on a new clutch + clutch bell. (replace your early 2 shoe with a late model 3 shoe)

some of the prebug did come with a 3 shoe clutch not for sure what years but most of the trans stuff from the newer horizontal will fit in the vertical engine they run the same blet and i have put a whole clutch bell and torque driver from a newer one on a prebug that can be a good upgrade for all zumas before 2008 is the 2008 and up clutch bell and torque driver as it has a nice pin angle with no hump in it unlike the older ones
