So woken up by my father telling me police at my door this morning moped stole during the night and had been found being ridden by 3 lads they chased them and they dumped the scooter. lucky enough to have it back however not sure if its worth repairing all sorts of damage clearly kids who took it damaging things cause they didnt know what they we're doing I'm impressed it would carry 3 people for starters totalling damage cost now just wondering if anybody will be able to PM me on advise of changing the locks over "mainly ignition" as its for lack of a better word F&%"ked it uses only 4 wires I found one on CMPO for my bike however the picture of their site has a different connnection to mine and its £70 which is very pricey any help finding a replacement will be greatly appreciated I'll post pics of the ignition soonish got to go police station in a minute to file a crime report. I'm roughly guessing £150 to £200 pounds worth of damage as they've took off my mirror, plates, air filter snapped my centre stand spring stolen tools and other things from where the scooter was kept plus discarded my tax disc and its holder. At least the police were helpful and its never all bad being woken up by a young blonde woman in a uniform on a Sunday morning Okay took some pictures they are off a phone so sorry if they are not very clear. they snapped my damn downpipe why do panels cost so much to replace .. and the best of the lot is they've broken my seat bucket to open it, Hmm it was never locked in the first place

I get shady people coming into my shop all the time asking for new keys and ignitions. They give me some off the wall reason how their kid lost the key and that they were trying to start it with a screw driver. I never sell them anything but you can tell who stole a scooter from a mile away. I had a scooter stolen from me once and it pisses me off every time to hear when it happens. I wish I could rig up a remotely detonated bomb.
Scooter thief explodes while riding on the 101. Details at 9.

oh that would be awsome lol and if mine blew 3 of them buggers would of gone up with it!
just been out and bought a new chain and lock other one was smashed to bits using a pickaxe which was also at the place the scooter was kept
trouble about where I live is everybody wears hoods and dark clothes they all look the same and very shady I may have found an ignition and new fuel cap ( seems they've busted that up to refill it with petrol to ride more =\) waiting for seller to tell me amount of wires his one for sale has.
the abuse the thing has gone through it may not restart once I've charged my battery and hotwire it in which case I'll break it for parts and buy a 125cc

I want one of those gps things that shows you on your phone or computer where it is. Spring is just around the corner so the creeps will be out.

seems to me if the ignition is the same just cut the wires on both the old and new and put the connectors from the old one onto the new one.

yeah but £70 for a new one is stupidly over priced is ones I'm not 100% sure are matched to mine no e bay for £20 frankly I'd rather pay £20 just bought me some wood going to build a second gate, I keep my scooter in a passage with a large bolted iron gate on its 8 foot tall however the other side of the passage leads to my back garden with no gate but fencing around the garden, they've took it that way removed a fence panel and wheeled it away.....

well you can see through the iron gate as its barred how they knew where to take it etc I dont know I've been given a name by somebody but the police will take little action all I'm going to do is get it back on the road and double make sure its secure when parked up
got it started again just wont run for too long not an airfliter on it right now, could do with a bloody good clean its been taken on fields

or I'd just keep a transponder in there and if my scoot gets stolen, I make a call and send and this guy in to hunt them down. Can't you order the ignition from a seller on ebay for cheap? It looks like a regular chinese ignition to me.

I hate that these little punks that stole your scoot will most like get a slap on the wrist and sent on their way. At least thats what would happen here in the states. If anything take yourself down to the bar grab a beer and watch some EPL. Thats what i do when I'm down about something.
