I worked on 125cc liquid cooled gy6 yesterday. The customer was complaining about the high engine temperatures. And while the problem indeed was old antifreeze with with little glycol content I can't help but shake my head at this... Brilliant, good going SYM.

Is that even a stock pipe? If it weren't touching the housing it probably wouldn't be a big deal.

Good eyes Brent. It was a performance pipe as confirmed by a picture of a new stock SYM HD 125. I assumed that SYM just built it with a high end exhuast. Heard a lot of good things about SYM. Even in the picture of the stock bike though you can still see how close the header is to the pump.

Yeah, I can't see why that head pipe couldn't have been another inch away at least had they designed it for this engine. Prob fits all of the other 125s and 150s and was just never re-designed. Good enough, ship 'em out.

I have a SYM Fiddle II here and it has a china 139qmb motor. Might just be that model with china motors though. Perhaps they try and keep costs down some by buying shiploads of china motors to put in the 50s at least. The rest of the bike is far superior to china bikes.
