I just bought a brand new VIP peace sport 50 cc scooter. It has a 152qmi motor. I want to do upgrades but don't want to buy wrong parts. Will 125 150 cc parts work? When I search for performance parts it comes up as parts for g6... Will those work?? I'm just really ready to start upgrading my scooter so if anyone can give me any hints on what will fit and won't fit would be awesome!!! And if the cc matters with typical parts... Thanks for anything that helps!!!

Both 125cc 152qmi and 150cc 157qmj are 'GY6' engines. It is my understanding that they are both identical other than the bore size 52.4mm bore for qmi and 57mm bore for qmj.

Lke FAST said, sounds like you got a 125cc and not a 50 from that engine code. There are two popular styles of GY6, the 50s and he 125-150s. Make sure you're getting parts for the larger GY6. Most engine parts are not interchangeable between the larger and smaller GY6 platforms. If you aren't getting a cylinder or head the cc 125-150 shouldn't matter.

I have an oddball QMG 100cc.....it is just a 150 with a 47.5mm bore vice the QMJ 150 bore. of 57mm...same block.....same carb...same everything! All 150 parts fit it....except the 170-180 BKK cylinders. Was gonna make it a QMI 125..... but good luck finding 125 parts in the states! I did find one site...but $199 just for a piston and cylinder is insane.....when you can buy a stock 150 piston and cylinder for under $50.....

If it is a VIP Peace Sport 50cc QMI....it is a QMB139 50cc engine...not a QMI......QMI Is 125 and RARELY sold in the states...mostly in Asian countries. Go check the numbers on your engine to verify...as a 125-150 engine will not bolt up to a 50cc frame...so it has to be a 50cc. Why would it say QMI if it's a 50? sumpin odd there bro... Yes I bought it as a 50cc and the manual is what says its the qmi how do I tell if its not? Where do I look? So most of the gy6 parts will fit just not cylinder head of course cause its a bigger motor? Yall are great help
