Congrats on the new project. Needs attention, but it's in good hands.

I drained the oil tank. First 2t oil I've seen that was just normal colored and kind of thick. Lord knows what it actually was???

What little i have read about the Elites the AF16 is the motor to build to like 129cc I'm no expert either and there are a lot of bb and stroker cranks available for them to make to 120cc+. Finally found a decent buy on piston, rings and speedo cable. All the OEM Honda sellers make their gold from ridiculous s&h charges that I wasn't about to bite on. Thought I'd ferret out any other probs. it might have @ stock disp. and go from there. I recorded specs from drive train today.... sizes, splines, springs, weights all while limping around on one crutch on my gimpy shit for a knee. Had to buy a 1/2 to 3/4 square socket impact drive adapter for an old socket for the clutch . Over $15 . I was in too big a hurry and my knee was hurting too bad to shop around and the phone was tied up. So....

'preciate that, dude. As a matter of fact I joined yesterday.
This little Elite is a lot easier to work on than my Derbi. Lot less screws to undo, two different size metric allen wrenches aren't required, not too many hidden fasteners, etc.
I bet the 'anti-lock' front brake works real good too - if you know what I mean. Lol.

Hate to tell you I bought 3 of these a while back for $25 each turned one for $500 then just bought one the other day for $25. Switching jobs and being lazy they are still sitting with the Honda Gryo, plus Zuma stroker,90cc Vento,2-16" 150cc,Plus my own ride Zuma plus a couple of others. Seems wierd the CVT cover splits in half on these.

I'm sure I probably could have found one cheaper if I had gone from town to town asking and stopping at all the houses in between. I've never even seen one of these in my hometown - ever. I did see a Gyro once but never saw it again several years ago. Were I in Cent. or So. Fla. I'm sure I could find much more than you find much more easily than you do in Ind.

Thanks, 190, I am finding this engine to be most economical to buy hop up parts for. Hawaii is a tuning mecca for these things. Check this price for a mannie/reed set. The stock is an anemic single plane (flat) three reed setup. www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-DIO-Racing-Intake-Power-intake-kit-4-valves-/330693844900?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item4cfee39fa4Unbelievable huh? I'm thinking of piecing together a pipe from leftovers of other pipe machinations while I play with it at 50 cc just for fun. I told the guy I bought it from I knew an aircraft mechanic that builds custom pipes in S.C. so when I build up that monster you will be in the forefront for custom work required. Thanks so much.
