The mounts needed some motivation to fit the more narrow frame. Welding wasn't real bad. I had my welding buddy clean it up for me. Mine was more than terrible. To be continued.....

I'M PLANNING ON THIS TOO !My frame is 3/4" too wide for the mount tabs to slip over frame rails! how did you bend the tabs on urs?

Dude, yours is beautiful. I'm going for rat rod style on this one. Not even putting plastics on. UPdate: re wired the harness and fired it up for the first time today. Sounds smooth. The engine had 350 miles on it when I got the doner bike. Sad story really. A meth head got a 08 150 from his grandpa and destroyed the wiring harness. On the bright side, I got the 08 Scooter for $30. Yup $30. Vin # checked clear by highway patrol. The frame was a recovered stolen 49, also ran clean VIN. $40 for that one with spare 139qmb that is now in service on one of my other bikes, due to cracking a block "playing" hard. More pics to come.
