It's pretty hard to say. You'll likely have to spend over $100 for hoses, battery and misc. items to get it into reliable running condition. One of the weaknesses of China scoots is the electrical system, in particular the stator. It's kind of a crapshoot. You may get 30,000 fairly trouble free miles or you might not go 10,000 before major problems crop up. Fortunately, parts are cheap and if you are mechanically inclined then you might come out ahead. $1000 would be my top dollar on this 6 y.o. scooter. If I were you I'd try to find a Linhai or perhaps a Daelim (no dealership support though but parts can be found) for about the same amount of money.

Oh nice...it's got a water-cooled vertical. That's a good thing because I heard that the air cooled 250s don't do as well as the smaller air cooled engines. The don't dissipate heat as well it seems. Of course this one has disc brakes front and rear...YAY! Okay...I got that one in...I'm out...LOL

Like with anything, it's how you keep up with general and preventative maintenance. Keeping it clean, changing fluids when necessary, checking nuts and bolts, etc. The upside is that if you do need parts, they will be much less expensive.

here are some things to consider with just that scoot i smell some bs in the sellers add if its never been plated how does he know it gets great gas milage so unless he has some land the running every couple of days has just been ideling high octane fuel is a waste well unless its ethonal free being it was stored
now becuase of the age all rubber parts need to be replaced they are now hardened and glazed over you may also have to start to replace engine gasket and seals becuase of the low milage and that it has basicly sat for 6 years unused
but its a crap shoot buying a clone bike and unless you wrench yourself be ready to pay others to do it and you may have a hard time finding some one to wrench on it for you
