HELP

I am right in the middle of my bbk, first of all cant believe the size difference
Now a couple questions, first what is this? I didn't take it off that I know of.
And next, I noticed Im not right on top dead center, should I adjust this now, or should it be off some???

that is part of your oil pump believe some bbkits have it included and some dont i didnt have one on my72cc bbk and it is still running strong. the timing i can not comment on, not that experience enough
here is a thread that help me do mine make sure your marks on the fly wheel are still line up that was my problem after removing eveything and installing bbk the marks were off

pull the connecting rod out full and look at the marks on the case/flywheel. they should line up but both the forum owner and I have had engines that were off. if you pull the rod so that it is all the way out and the marks dont line up just make a new mark.

the oil pump unless you have lots of miles like over 10k on the engine dont worry about changing it.
