Got my first scooter, ruckus clone, was pretty slow, and I found this website, read as much as I could and went with the bbk. I have never worked on small engines before, so I was nervous.. I put my lap top next to me, went step by step in the how to's. I put on 50mm bbk, new carb, performance CDI and Coil. Got it all back together, 2 kicks, fired right up. Nice job guys. Thank you all for all the input. Not test drove yet, not off house arrest til monday 10am. Will let you know the stats of it.

Okay, just took first test drive, really windy outside cuz storm about to hit but,,,,, top speed pretty steady at 48-50 mph and the hill at the end of my road that use to drop me to 25mph climbed easy at around 38mph. A lot better than it was but think I need to try new roller weights and see how that does. Again thanks alot for all your help and advice on here......

Welcome to 49ccscoot world. Beware!, Scooter tuning can be addictive.
Don't forget to keep an eye for plug reading. Making a hole in your piston is every noobs nightmare. Been there, done that. Use safety gears for yourself as well.
Look for polini variator workbook.. It will clear your mind on tuning CVTs.

Yes I can see how this can get very addictive. It is fun, relaxing and fairly cheap to do. Would have never tried anything like this on a more expensive machine. Thanks for the advice, can't never get to much of that...

With results like that, it's not hard to see how we get hooked. Now in reality, the biggest gain you ever see tends to be that big bore... but we still want more... as much as we can get!
