Hey folks, Just want to stop by and say hello. I've been out of the scooter scene for a while now, and looking forward to getting back in. Here's a collection of some of my previous projects: scootspecs.wordpress.com/showroom/I used to be into Jog style bikes, then Honda Dio's, now I'm getting back to my roots and going to build up an 07 Vento Triton GT5. I've always liked the Triton body style and wanted to build another after seeing Brent's fully blacked out bike, but cool scoots have been pretty scarce on my local CL. So I was pretty stoked when I saw a GT5 (flat black paint w/ red rims) for sale with a 70cc kit already installed. She needs a throttle cable but I've got some upgrade plans in mind which should take care of that. Pics coming soon.

Nice GT5 Never wired my pumps open?. Ide just run straight premix and ditch the pump altogether if your going that route. Less rotational drag on the crank that way. I love the race against the Smart car lol...

Someone else here, I think it was brandonscoot, said that the issue with those reeds with the big intake is the screws. I believe he filed the heads down a little and it fit.
I ditch all of my injectors too. If you're going to be adding a little oil at the gas pump, why not just add all you need?

well i ended up keeping her injected. i think its just more convenient that way for daily use. just wire tied oil pump to nearly max open, seems to work alright.
stage6 kit didnt last though, borrowed and tried a few different "race" exhausts from a fellow jog tuner, finally got one to hook up good then the kit blew.. turns out previous guys who installed it put the piston in backwards! i was like wtf..
so i ditched that kit, and installed a generic taiwan 70cc kit, put on stock exhaust and tuned accordingly. 24carb has 120main jet, and 48pilot jet. could probably go down on main but thats lowest I had on hand. 3x 10g rollers, 5g avg all around with 1.5k rear center and 2k grab springs in clutch.
and just sold her to a new lucky owner. the scooter scene has been fun for me but i think im just about done with it, for now.. :chinese:
see the motorcycle in the background on 1st two pics? thats my new daily and i love her 600cc of naked 100hp goodness hah :wheelie:
told the new owner about 49ccscoot so hopefully he swings by and see's all thats possible.

Well I hate to see you getting out of scooters, but I hope you have a blast on the bike. Can't tell much from the pics. I believe I see a Honda logo there... CBF600? Thanks for passing along our address too!

Hi Everybody,
I am having some trouble with fixing my Vento GT5 Triton Moped. I am having trouble finding the proper part to connect the oil tank to the engine oil nipple. I am obviously in the states and it is very hard to find metric tubing. anyway I have found one that is close but not snug enough. 1/4 inch is what I have used under the oil tank and then connecting to the nipple but it is not snug enough. Is anyone familiar with this type of problem. I have done a little research and it looks like I may have to buy a 3/16 to use in which to replace the oil line. I have some pictures I can upload also. Any help would be great. Trying to find a good source of parts for this particular model. Burntoast at the top has the identical scooter as me.
Thanks everybody.

3/16" would probably do it if 1/4" is just a little big. Parts For Scooters sells parts and some metric lines too, I think. ScrappyDogScooters and eBay sellers are good sources for replacement parts as well.
