Without completely rebuilding the block or major parts involving the crank / piston......... how many miles do you have on your original 49cc block and which engine is it?
I'm curious the average expectancy of these engines with proper care. I'm at 2k miles on mine.

The first 139QMB scooter I evr bought went 17,500 before it developed a "clunk" in the belt side crank bearing. I still have that motor out in the shop and it still runs but I swapped it out years ago.

Over 3k on my little BadBoy. My old Roketa has 2300 when I sold it. My KLX has about 30,000... but I did put in a new piston, ring, and sleeve at 25,000. It barely even needed new rings, but that was my excuse to tear into it and bore it out. mwa haha! I'm not sure how much longer I'll get out of this BadBoy. The original owner ran in the first 2300 miles on what little was left of the break-in/shipping oil-- never changed the oil. Uh...

Mine don't usually make it far before I swap stuff. My 90cc stock bottom end had 7,000+ miles on it before the crank went. My very first scoot's 49cc went 4,000 miles stock and then 3,000 miles as a 70cc IIRC. Stock crank was still in good shape when I put a big crank in it. The stock cylinder was fine I think. It's been a while. The 70cc cylinder I screwed up trying to run 80:1 premix. lol
Mine are abused, so a stock engine should be able to do way more. More power and frequent high RPM riding tends to end up meaning less engine life.

i have a yamaha zuma with an hm engine (1e40qmb) i have 15,000 on the crank i swaped top ends at 7500 thats when i first kitted it then at 10,000 miles i changed the bore again to a liquid cooled bore at 7500 the top end did not need to be replaced i just wanted to start upgrades
the engine is comeing out now and a diffrent engine will be going in with a 43mm stroke and 53mm lc bore then i might think about it rebuilding that case

I got 300 miles then did a 72cc upgrade because it was really a dog, got 4000 miles, rod began knocking... Rebuilt it and now have currently 385 miles. I tend to work mine hard driving 84 miles to and from work.

My aerox has done about 4,250 miles. Sports pipe and transmission, intake mods. My sons zuma that has been in the family for years has done over 25,000 miles with no mods just derestricting the variator. Still runs great but due for its first piston and ring change soon.

I had about 800 miles on my factory 72cc BD1P39QMB (Boadiao) motor before I built the top end up to 82cc. Its now has 4100 miles on said 82cc (not counting the original 800) and runs wonderful. I could not be happier on how this build turned out. I hope I am this happy on the new stroker motor.

Obligatory old man borishness . . . Back in ye daze of 0lde two-strokes dirt bikes had to be deglazed and re-ringed regularly. Its strange for me to see 2ts getting so much mileage before top end refresh is needed. My Eton has a prety easy life, Im hoping to get 4000 or so out of it before I have to worry about pulling the jug.

2T design has come far as well.
teddy. CPI,s do that for reason? I have two or three CPI cases like that.
Im not sure the exact mileage on my Cobra but ive clocked 4k on it since i added the speedo/odometer/acceleration meter. The factory one has 15k on it and was broken for at least 1,500miles before i fixed it. Im guessing at least 20-25,000 miles on the OEM engine. Still pulls me into the high 40MPH range no problem. 50,s if i tuck :riding:
