Well...as some may know I've been looking for one of those 50cc mini choppers (Roketa MC-56, Verucci VC-ST50, etc). The one I had decided on, a Vortex, is no longer being sold, according to USA Wholesale Scooter. That leaves me in a quandary. I had two scooters as backups. Roketa MC-15-50 Pros: 2 Stroke (more power); 12" wheels; good looks Cons: Fairings cover the handlebars making fitting the cruise control and GPS I bought difficult to fit; Roketa MC-16K Pros: Naked handlebars make fitting the cruise control and GPS easy Cons: Not really my style in the looks department; 4 stroke (less power) I'm considering these as well: BMS Tuscan Pros: Semi-exposed handlebars may make fitting the cruise control easier; good looks Cons: Can't recall hearing about this brand on these pages; semi-exposed handlebars would require fitting the GPS to the mirrors Roketa MC-JL4C Pros: Exposed handlebars...etc; Cons: Styling not exactly my taste; single seater I'd love a Vento but would have to find a dealer in Broward County. I don't have time to mess around with buying used or having it shipped. Apart from the time involved in getting the item, both cases would require me to go to the DMV...I have NO clue what to do if I had to register it myself. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Yes its got to be the first one. You could do a mountain bike type stem conversion and MX bars too

The first scoot is a Minarelli powered until. Ive worked on a couple. They have no adjustment carb, with jets that have no numbers and a needle that cant be moved. The ones here in the US are also emissions engines with smog pumps. Not sure if they are like that there?.. Hope not! Still, i think its the best one out of the scooters listed

@ jmkjr72/90GTVert/aeroxbud: You mean...modify my brand new scoot?!? Pull it to pieces?!? <covers face> As much as it's clear what needs to be done, I could never bring myself to do it. Apart from my OCD, I won't be around the ncessary tools in order to carry out anything like that. I'll be close to screw drivers and pliers if I'm lucky. @ 2Strokd: It's gonna be bought in FL, so guaranteed it's gonna be exactly as you said. Thanks for the input guys. I totally agree with you that the 1st one is the way to go (2 stroke, etc) but I may have yet another option. Check this one out: Jonway Wasp. Pro: REAR DISC BRAKE! Con: 4 stroke I'll need to talk to the dealer again to find out if he can get me a Wasp with a 2T (since they do exist). I'll holla back and let you guys know.

Rear disc vs 2T is no contest to me. There have to be some 2Ts you can get around there without the handlebar cover covering so much of the controls.

LOL! I know, Brent. The 2 stroke is the deal breaker for you! The dealer I'm currently talking to (motorscootersnmore.com) has a 2T with rear disc...but the price is high...$1499 before tax and tags. It's a GMW Phantom. They also said that they don't get into the 2T Jonways because parts for them are harder to get. Go figure. Anyway...we'll see...

All that really matters is you're happy with it though. The 4Ts are plenty capable of being fun rides. I enjoyed mine for cruising around. If it's staying stock though, you won't go fast enough with either to worry too much about the brakes... well, maybe the 2T.
