Connections : 49ccscoot.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=carb&action=display&thread=3653&page=1If it's bad it can cause you to get no fuel or sometimes can leak fuel into the vacuum line and into the engine. Easy way to check is first disconnect the fuel hose from the carb. If fuel is running out, it's not working. It should be stopping fuel when the engine is off and no vacuum is present. If it's not letting fuel flow, kick/crank the engine over. Then it should squirt some fuel out. If it passes both of those tests, usually it's working fine. You can pull the hose off of the intake though to be sure fuel isn't running out of the vacuum line where it shouldn't be. If it were doing that it shouldn't be starting and the plug should be very wet/fouled.
