Normally my scoot does the standard rotation on startup. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBJEOpW9zLwLast few days however there has been a grinding crunching halt when trying to start it. When I lift off and try to start it again it rotates fine. It is a very loud and violent crunch that stops the rotation. Here's a video of it happening. It almost sounds like it is at the back. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHpmJsFafAMWhat in the world is that? If you notice the belt jumps when you see the crunch happening.

First thing I'd do is pull the starter clutch and check it over. Be careful when you pull it apart, the clutch has springs and weights in it. Even if it looks fine, clean it before reinstalling and put a fresh (thin) coat of grease on the bearing in there.

Yeah I replaced that in October, it has a much different grinding sound, more squealy and high pitched. I deal with that before, LOL. Yes however, I will indeed be looking it over when it all comes apart. The problem persists.
