Here is the rundown...I am as new to this forum as I am to owning a scooter. I purchased an E-ton Beamer II for $450.00 from a local salesman. I rode it home with no problems. I have had it for about 6 weeks and suddenly realized I have no rear running light. I have brake lights but no running lights. I opened the assembly to find three wires. two are plugged in and the third is not when I plug the third wire into the harness I get the upper filament in the bulb illuminates Very Bright but now no brake light. I also found that if I push the switch on the left hand grip that indicates the Bright lights, my scoot engine is killed like there is too much draw on the mag. I have a bulb in the front end but it only works at one steady illumination it gets no brighter. I will post pics to help describe what I am saying later. If you have any ideas please let me know. Thanks in advance.

1) in your rear light the wires are mixed up.... the three wires are ground, brake and running, the bright should be your brake light, the not so bright the running, and the ground.... well it's the ground.
2) take the front cowl off and sort out your headlight wires, same deal as above.

I tried that and no matter where the three wires are plugged into the socket I get the same outcome. I noticed on the front light there is a large bulb and what looks like a small socket (bulb missing) not sure what it's for, what bulb type I mean. does that make sense?

then you may need a new socket in the rear

Ok I figured out the problem. Somehow the wiring was plugged backward causing the lights to illuminate in reverse. Thank you for your input and quick responses.
