Here's one for the Vento guys who may have looked into this... In 2008, Vento made a re-design of the speedo clusters. The had a purplish blue glow to them. As far as I can tell, all instrument clusters use regular 194 bulbs to illuminate the cluster. What bulbs was Vento using to achieve that blue color? I remember how slick it looked on their website, almost like a neon look to it.

It's been a while since I've had stock gauges, but I believe mine used clear bulbs. It was the way the gauges were designed. Mine just looked blue to me when lit up, but mine was an '04 so maybe I haven't seen the '08.

I was thinking this was something new for 2008. I remember the marketing material emphasizing it. I just thought it might have been a special blue bulb. Maybe there was nothing special to it at all. I do see blue 194 LEDs on the bay cheap. It gives me an idea to try something different.

I noticed when replacing an instrument cluster (due to the lens going so cloudy the speedo could barely be seen) that the bulbs are very loose in these sockets. I actually put the headlight housing on and had to take it back off because one of my turn signal indicator lights was not working. You might have that problem, but I don't know because there should be at least two bulbs for cluster illumination.

nine is pretty beat-up cracked and dusty but still the speedo and gauges work almost 5000 miles on it
