Going to have to seriously tear down/tear into the BadBoy this weekend. I decided to take a "shortcut" on my way home from work... after it had been raining for several days.  Let's just say there was a lot of sweating, dragging, falling, and laughing involved. Unfortunately, there was no camera involved. It would have been epic footage. When I finally made it home, my roommate took pictures: Needless to say, I had to hose my boots off outside and I had to shower with my jeans on. I hosed the bike off that night, and the next day... but it has water and mud all up in places it shouldn't now. And I still can't get all the mud. It's not running, in other words. It still turns over, but spark is intermitent and the carb is all gummed up (again, like how I bought it). It was totally worth it. I'll tear into it here soon with the usual: clean the carb, contact cleaner in the stator housing, etc., etc. I cannot believe the places I've been finding mud, too. Gosh, I should have had my helmet camera on...

I figured you never traveled without your cam. Well, you did a nice thorough job of getting it dirty. Just do a good thorough job of cleaning it before you troubleshoot anything else. As it seems you're thinking as well, it's likely a mud or water related issue.

As it seems you're thinking as well, it's likely a mud or water related issue. I LOVE detail cleaning. It calms my ADD. I'm actually looking forward to this "search and destroy" mission (the target: mud and water). I've been wanting to tear this thing down and give it a good detailing since I got it. Now I have my excuse... except I'll also be removing the stator cover and probably the battery. LOL This made me LOL for real.

Oh, and if I rode with my camera every time... Gosh... I have almost 50k miles under my belt in the last 3 years. That would be a LOT of video... Ha. I'd say I record 40% of the time, and delete most of that.

Much better to see bikes like yours covered in mud than sat at home being polished. Bikes are made to be ridden.

Is it just me or is there something really sexy about having to shower with your jeans on........... Your a Dirty girl!!!!! Seriously though, it just goes to prove that a small bike can be way more fun than something you had to push home without the decent ride...... BTW, The fact both grips are caked in mud says ya fell/ laughed shrugged it off and rode some more, It's easy to get one side dirty but to double the weight in mud says ya had a decent ride IMO...... I don't think the camera would have fared so well but the memory is hopefully unforgettable!!!! The best times are rarely recorded..... Unfortunately
