i know all qmb139 are not all the same.but for a 82cc bbk what is a good rpm range. i had 5gram sliders with 1k main torque an spring 1k clutch springs. i was getting 7800-8000rpms going about 45-48mph on my gps,i changed them to 7.5 rollers an i dropped to 6700-7000rpms going 55 to 60mph on the gps..is that a good rev range?what are you guys revving at with a 50mm or 82cc bbk?

If you're doing 55-60MPH then it's a good range. ;D

switching to taller gears help the top end a lot... i had 17/51 (3.00) switch them to 17/41 (2.41) to me it is a good match.

I have a question about the gears the gears you are changing are they primary gears? So are the secondary the same in most 4stk scoots? (What are they)What is your over all ratio? (how many turns your clutch bell turns to 1 rev. of the tire.) Sorry for the the tread jumping.

i not to sure if they are the same.if you got a qmb139 it is!! but i got the gear set from partsforscooters.com comes with the main output gear (the big gear on the output shaft) an the idle gear (the smaller gear) i never checked the bell turns to tire rotation sorry. maybe a fellow forum read can do it.. my gears i got is 17/51 ratio equals 2.41... i got 10inch rim 3"wide tires. what kind of scoot u what gears for?

yes all qmb139 has different ratios. the only way to really tell is open the gear box an count the teeth. i think theres some info on gears ratios on this forum. in the tech library..
