I kinda want to hook them up to a small solar panel if i can find one that can do 12v. I dunno yet tho. I've never tried somethign like this, but it shoudl be fun lol
I'd just hook them into the battery. Wiring is simple, just postive and negative. Inline fuse, inline switch. The hardest part would be mounting them to get whatever effect you want out of them.

cool wel these particluar strip lights come with adhesive 3m tape on them i just wasnt sure it the power they would draw woudl eat my battery or not...
As long as you have them switched off when the scooter isn't running (or when you aren't showing them off), the battery should be fine. LEDs draw a very small amount of power.
Also, be careful and check your local laws. The laws in a lot of areas prohibit certain types of lighting to be used on public roads or while in motion.
Distracting to other drivers is what I was told. I've been pulled over for it in my own car and a friend's years ago and that's what both cops said. Also, do not make them flash, especially blue or red. Then they like to tell you they could get you for impersonating an officer or emergency vehicle. My friend was told his undercar neons were OK when he was parked, but not on the road or stopped at a red light. These were in MD and DE years ago.
