so on my way to work today i stopped at the gas station and the wind blew my scooter over. I went out and picked it up and headed to work and noticed the throttle was kinda sticky. after work i left and was on my way home and then....the throttle stuck wide open....now remember i dont have a front brak ejust a rear brake..lol...so before panicing i just shut it off..but i still had to get home so i had to just turn i toff everytime i had to stop..it was nuts....needless to say..my butthole was puckered the entire time...lol

Sounds exciting! Have you found what happened to make the throttle stick yet?

I really don't know on those. I'd guess M5 or M6 fine thread, but that's nothing more than a guess.

I had a throttle stuck on me too. A couple of years ago in the winter. I was riding home doing about 55mph down a duel highway when i got to a roundabout the throttle would not shut. I grabbed the back brake and turned the engine off. It was really cold -4 or -5 and the slide had stuck in the carb, carb icing. Stripped a lot of teeth of of my variator and front pully, so you might want to check yours. I was lucky it was getting dark and i was still about 10 miles from home, Dad with a van came to the rescue.

i had to ride it 3 miles with a stuck throttle...lol...through contruction and retarded drivers that have to stop everytime they see another vehicle...lol..although i did almost run into my house..lol...i was trying to pull in my driveway and being that it was wide open trying to turn the engine on and off a bunch of times to keep it slow enough to turn was a challenge. only have minor scratches on the right side of my scooter..lol

It was not too bad, with all the gear on. It was like being in a sauna though pushing my scoot a mile and a half into town from where it broke down lol

www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Edo_0AzVAwI was showing a guy on another forum how the CVT is really smooth on take off and I grabbed a hand full of throttle after a few takeoffs to show him it will also lock hard. Bout killed poor scootie.
