Hello i have a 2006 MT50QT-2 Scooter it has 12'' rims and the engine says MT139QMB I am looking to purchase the Stage IV Performance kit from www.scrappydogscooters.com/139QMB_50cc_Performance.htmlHere is a picture and a description of what it is DESCRIPTION: Just gotta have the best? This is a complete engine performance package designed to boost total power up considerably. Kit includes 47mm big bore setup, performance stainless exhaust system, iridium plug, big valve racing head, 125cc intake boot, 24mm RunTong carburetor. IF its necessary to buy a performance cam then i can they sell one of those there as well Performance A9 CamshaftA9 is the sport high end camshaft for your 139qmb 49cc fourstroke scooter/atv. This will also improve your big bore performance. This will give you the top end speed potential that you need. Same Taiwanese quality parts as all our performance parts here. Tomax Racing Taiwan Again i am just wondering if this stuff will all fit on my scooter. If any one has any experience with upgrading there 50cc engine or if they have ever ordered from that website please let me know any help would be greatly appreciated!

That piston, ring and bore set is from mainland china. If i were you i would go with less of what you dont need...and more of what you do need.
Are you asking if you should buy that whole setup?
IMO...no.

I had their big valve head on my 80cc. It worked well for me. It's Chinese made I guess, but the valve work and porting is done by a machine shop here in the US. I don't consider it a must have, and it's not cheap, so you could save yourself some money skipping it. Really depends how much you're inclined to save money vs squeeze out a little extra. The big bore itself is the biggest gain.
The cam should wake the top end up. I definitely liked my engine more with a performance cam than without.
I'd prob skip the big carb. I just never had luck with the big carbs that have no accelerator pump. If you skip the carb then all you need to do is match the intake to whatever head you have and tune the stock carb. If you want a larger carb, they do offer some with an accelerator pump.

ok then i guess my next question is will this eshop.mainelyscooters.com/product/cat-completeengine/150cc-gy6-4-stroke-long-case-engine/ bolt up to my scooter? Im almost positive i have a long case engine my belt cover has 10 holes for bolts and i have 12'' rims with a single shock in the back. Heres a pic and description of the engine, its a gy6-150cc just want to know if it will bolt up to my scooter i can take pics of my scooter and measurements if necessary. I just want my scooter to have more bottom end so it doesn't slow down when i go up hills and stuff, i want to be able to merge right in with traffic rather than have a line of cars behind me 150cc 4-Stroke Long-Case GY6 Gas Engine with automatic CVT transmission. This scooter engine is used in a wide variety of applications, including full-size street legal scooters, all terrain vehicles (ATVs), dirt bikes, and go karts. Compatible with both 125cc and 150cc engine size scooters and vehicles. This complete engine includes electric starter, kick start, and CVT.**For Rear Drum Brakes Only** **Please Note: GY6 125cc and 150cc motors come in different sizes. Please measure the physical size to be sure you get the correct one. The difference is in the length of the rear swing arm. Different lengths have been made to accommodate other wheel sizes. THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS!!! Like i said i just want my scooter to not loose speed up hills and to be able to catch right up to traffic. If any one has any better suggestions please let me know!!

Here's another member's 150 swap so you can see it's not just a bolt in... 49ccscoot.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=builds&action=display&thread=3506 I just want my scooter to have more bottom end so it doesn't slow down when i go up hills and stuff, i want to be able to merge right in with traffic rather than have a line of cars behind mei just want my scooter to not loose speed up hills and to be able to catch right up to traffic. What you really need is gonna depend how much of a hill you're dealing with and how fast you expect to go up it. Same with traffic. How fast is the traffic you plan on dealing with?

well there is alot of hills where i live in new england, the traffic i am trying to keep up with is 30mph - 40mph like i can eventually keep up with them but i want to be able to get right up to 35 nice and quick. i called some one at mainely scooters and he said that it is not just a bolt on so i am going to scratch that idea, i guess ill just keep the moped stock for now

At 30-40, unless those hills are steep, you should be able to make the current motor work for you. A big bore kit and the associated carb and CVT tuning might do it without all the extras. With it tuned right, they'll get to 30 pretty quickly at least.

Well, you've obviously found Scrappy Dog. Also check out PFS and Enviromoto.Com.
