I bought my scooter used and it came with a bando 788 17 28 belt on it.
I have never been able to get this scooter to have full travel across the variator face plate.
I spent an hour outside tonight looking at this and think my scooter may need a longer belt. maybe a 792?
This is on my Keeway Matrix - it is a long case minarelli engine.

If it's the stock variator, it can be very difficult to get full travel. I've used 788s to get full travel on an even larger Hoca pulley, so the belt length should be OK.

How close are you to full travel on the Hoca? When I did manage to make mine get full travel, it busted belts from being modded so much. lol Longer belt may help, never really tried. I ordered a 798 Gates once and I was less than thrilled when it turned out to be shorter than the 788 Bando. I love the consistency among brands with scooter parts. O had a 792 Mitsuboshi stock on the Venus. I don't recall it getting any better travel. If it did, it wasn't significant.
