Okay so my scooter was running badly lately I inspected the CVT and found the rollers we're due a change which I've done. took it for a quick blast everything back to normal or so I thought.....
Whenever the engine is warmed up my final speed goes from about 45 mph to barely breaking 30mph very slow from the start and increased loudness.
I put it down to just running too lean once the choke was off which is odd because I've always jetted to run atad rich, so I unplugged the enricher to see if the choke staying on will make a difference, it didnt.....
everything in the CVT is working fine it cant be piston or valve related as its only plucking up once I've wormed up the engine.
about one week ago I filled up fuel from a station and later that day found a red string like stuff in my filter fuel links gas tank and carb, so I cleaned the carb out and me and Matty went for a ride, about 45 minutes later it had gummed up again and I once again sctripped and cleaned the carb and everything was running fine, I dumped the gas cleaned out the tank fresh fuel lines + filter and its running like this now.
any ideas what it could be I've lost my pack of different sized jets for the moment (trying hard to find them) so I can at least upjet and play around with carb which is where I suspect the issues may lie.
there is no fuel leak, I have no crap in the brand new filter to indicate something has gotten through I tested the petcock to see if that was blocked but sucking on the vasume line sucked fuel through it fine.
My ultimate guess is I'm running lean at full throttle once enricher shuts off however I know it was rich 1 weeks ago....anybody suggesting valves as a problem gets dog poo in the post
