Hi, I have Derestricted my stupid chinese pile of junk but can only hit around 28-30. I raised the needle under the diaphragm, cut pink wire and changed main jet to an 84. There wasn't a washer near the variator. I know there is something restricting the scoot because on VERY RARE occasions it suddenly accelerates hard from 30 to 40 mph without warning and from 0-40 also. This burst of speed quickly stops then i'm limited to 30mph again. I have also fitted 4.5g roller weights to aid the acceleration which helped. This has been ongoing for almost a year now and I cant take anymore. Other sites haven't been able to help but something tells me the remedy is at this site. Its a Kinroad xt50qt2 using the 139qmb clone and has only done 1000 miles. I'm determined to fix this as its my 1st bike. Please help people

is the needle sticking? or the plastic part of the diaphragm sticking? that happened to me once on a scoot i was working on...it was doing exactly as you describe and it was the plastic part of the carb diaphram sticking in the carb where it slides up and down you know.........i just replaced the whole carb and problem solved.

Do a plug chop to see if its lean . An unrestricted exhaust and Uni along with upjetting will help . Do you have a rev limited CDI ? Are you a heavy guy ? Can you adjust the fueal/air screw ? Many are covered up . Clean air filter and check valve clearances

The plastic part seems to move easily by hand but i'll change it to be sure. I'm a very light guy. I haven't done plug chop yet, the scoot doesn't die when I wind the mixture screw fully inwards, air filter is clean, valves adjusted to .004, cdi is stock. I would like to change the carb to a branded one but there aren't any in the Uk.
