I noticed today when I was putting my scooter back together there is a wire looped into a connector . Its a single light blue wire in a brick connector thing

I've seen them do that just to splice something in. Looks weird, but it's commonplace for Chinese wiring.

if you take that out...you can turn the key off and it will stay running. i have seen it all different colors on my new scoots. I unplugged it one day to see what would happen...and then turned the key off and it kept running.

weird thing is i dont see it on any of the wiring diagrams. seems they guy doing the wiring (on my Sunny-Boadiao scooters anyway) uses whatever color wire he feels like. i have seen it blue, black and i have a new one sitting here its red/w lol

Since my Boadiaos and TaoTaos are both 'Sunny' scooters i think he means this....like i said in these bikes its the ignition kill at the switch..could be anything like brent said though with china scoots who knows lol Attachments:

That's the plug connector for an alarm system with remote start. If you remove an alarm system you have to make a jumper for those two pins or as mentioned the engine won't shut off with the key or the kill switch. I usually just cut the plug connector off the alarm and then cut off all the wires right up to the plug except on those two pins I leave a couple of inches and then splice them together and plug it in. This is a factory made one w/a blue wire:
