ill start off by saying that im sorry for my recent inactivity, my dad's salamander heater blew up and he has been in the hospital for a week now. so as you all know, i had a roketa, and a kymco, both of them turned to be scrap piles. instead of fixing them, i decided to have my dad a good surprise waiting on him when he gets home. he LOVES the honda ruckus/yamaha zuma body style, so i found him a red one with less then 2,000 miles. and i knew he wouldn't like doing 35 mph everywhere he goes, so i'm ordering a 80cc big bore kit from scrappydogscooters.com (isn't there a discount for using this forum or something? ) so, my question is, before i send the order through, which jets should i buy? (i dont think the stock ones would like it too well) thanks, -josh

I would replace the carb that is easier to tune and a size up in mm . I ran an 85 then 88 and 90 . I like mine just a hair rich . If you go with a 80 BBK get a 50 mm head . If you do not the 49cc head the compression is real high and tight clearances of the valves and top of piston and a shim or extra base gasket is needed as with 200 psi and its not race quality parts expect problems if you ride it hard . The 50mm also has larger valves thus more flow.
I had a secret 63 that cracked a piston and blew up later . I put on an Air Sal 50mm as I did not want any China piston again since none of my Japanese or Italian toys cracked a piston . Takeoff , midrange and uphill were much better , however it had the same topend , but got there faster and did not have to work as hard .
Well it looks like the 80cc crate engines are sold out and would be better than a BBK but they have a 110 that may work .
The drive gears can be changed out if you have a press .
I now have a 2T 49cc that is loads of fun and after modest mods I can hit 50 mph but mostly 45 more steady . A racing pipe on a 2T will do wonders as I am narrowing down which one to get A 2T is less to service and peppy .
I would only suggest a longcase with 12s or bigger as I was uncomfortable on a shortcase with 10s

is it 47mm or a 50mm 72cc -82cc with the 72cc i had to run a 88main with a 19mm carb an with my 82cc i have on a 98main.. having different mods on the scoot will affect your jet size.
