Hi there,
I am just about to get my 2 stroke started and I was wondering what sized jet I will need for it. It has a 28mm OKO carb on it and the BBK is an aluminium racing single ring one off Carlos at Autotech355. Does anyone have any experience for this kind of set up?
Thanks

You are really, well, not too forthcoming with the details.
Unless you are somewhere in the vicinity of 100cc's you are fooling yourself that you are going to be happy with a 28mm carb.
Using pre-mix fuel (oil in the fuel at around 32:1)
With 100-125cc's, no, or a K+N style, air filter, a decent exhaust, long duration port timings, and good compression I would start in the 135 jet area.
With 70cc, low restriction air filter, long duration, high compression, and a pipe I would start around 110.
These are starting numbers only @ sea level @90f

I agree. The carb for the size of the engine is large, but it was recommended to keep the engine cool enough without soft seizing. Im not sure of what the port timings are but I would like to find out about that. It has got a jog racing exhaust on it too. The air filter came with the carb, its one of those grey small pod filters, not sure what brand exactly. Umm what else. It has carbon reeds and a performance intake manifold. Thats about it other than the cvt.
I only have jets up to 130, but where I live we are 60ft above sea level. If the jet is too small I could raise the needle I guess? But I haven't done that before so any advice?

And I will be using non-synthetic premix at the start in the wear in period, then moving to fully synthetic after a while.
With the non-synthetic I will be running 32:1
