I've had some trouble getting my base gasket to seal properly. I'm guessing the mating surface isn't true. I've heard and used the black gasket maker before from local auto stores. Is there anything that will for sure seal it up tight though? Been browsing different types of gasket sealers on Ebay.

Threebond 1194 is another that will seal it unless there's a real problem. Same thing I use to seal cases. The issue with it is that it's hard to remove.

Yea,I was looking at the threebond 1194. Pretty good stuff then?

Dunno about the others. I tried 1194 and it hasn't failed me yet so I've stuck with it.
